If your are contemplating carrying out any building work on your property it is prudent to have a dilapidation inspection and report carried out on the adjoining property.

The aims and objectives of this type of survey and report is designed  to highlight any building defects that might exist prior to  the renovation project commencing. 

The intention of the inspection and report is to ensure that the building owner or contractor do not become  embroiled in any  future dispute arising out of the building work.

An inspection report would normally cover such defects as cracking or leaning in masonry, cracks in driveways, subsidence. The report once completed is usually given to both parties prior to to any work taking place.
